OFFICIAL: Today's game between Bayern Munich and Union Berlin has been cancelled due to heavy snowfall in Munich
The Bundesliga clash - which pitted second place Bayern against bottom of the table Union - had been due to kick off at 2:30PM (GMT) at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
However, heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures resulted in the match being postponed.
Local transport had also been cancelled due to the inclement weather - including trains in and out of Munich - while the decision was taken by authorities to suspend flights until at least 12PM.
Temperatures are expected to drop to as low as -13 degrees over the weekend with snow falling throughout Friday night and into Saturday.

Jan-Christian Dreesen: "We very much regret that we have to cancel the game, but the safety of our fans and Union Berlin supporters is our absolute priority. In addition, access to the Allianz Arena is not guaranteed due to numerous road closures and various public transport disruptions. We will inform you about a potential new date as soon as possible."
