OFFICIAL: Erling Haaland wins Best Men's Player at Globe Soccer Awards

Erling Haaland has been named as the Best Men's Player at Globe Soccer Awards.

Haaland was runner-up to Messi at the Ballon d'Or awards last month and then the FIFA Best awards this month, despite the latter not even taking the 2022 World Cup into account. However, the Norwegian won out from an 11-man shortlist that also featured teammates Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva to be crowned in Dubai.

Accepting his prize, Haaland said: “I hope to be back really soon from injury, I’m getting bored of not playing!” The No.9 has missed the last nine matches for City and was forced to stop training last week after a setback in his recovery from a foot injury.
