Former Serie A star Bernardeschi has signed in as new Bologna player as his Italy League return.
Bologna FC 1909 announces that it has definitively acquired the rights to the sporting performances of Federico Bernardeschi.
Born in 1994, he's a natural left-footed player with good individual technique, playing in various roles including attacking midfielder, winger, and winger. A skilled dribbler, he's a player with excellent ball control and pace, and a powerful shot from outside the box, making him one of the most talented of his generation.
Bernardeschi began playing for Atletico Carrara before moving to Polisportiva Ponzano and the Fiorentina youth team. After a stint with Crotone in Serie B, he returned to Florence. His best scoring season in Serie A was 2016/17 with Fiorentina, when he scored 11 goals, attracting interest from Juventus. He spent five seasons with the Bianconeri before joining Toronto in 2022. In MLS, he became the Canadian club's most successful player in league history with 25 goals, at least five more than any other teammate.
His trophy collection includes three Italian Championships, one Italian Cup, and one Italian Super Cup. On July 11, 2021, he and Italy won the European Championships, defeating England on penalties in the final.
