La Liga officially announced that Deportivo Alavés manager Flores has been named Manager of the Month for August.

Flores has been named La Liga's best manager for August. Deportivo Alavés have made an excellent start to the season, currently sitting second in the standings with 3 wins and 1 draw, trailing only Barcelona. They began the season with a 3-0 home victory over Getafe.
They subsequently drew 1-1 away to Rayo Vallecano and defeated Villarreal 1-0 at home at the end of August. Additionally, in their opening match in September, they thrashed Osasuna 5-2.
With 10 points accumulated, they sit second in the La Liga standings, just 2 points behind Barcelona. Flores beat Flick and Mourinho in the voting to win the award.
