Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike (22) and VfB Stuttgart midfielder Enzo Millot (22) have both pulled out of France’s U-21 Euros squad, the French FA has announced.

The former Reims and PSG centre-forward reportedly turned up at Clairefontaine with back pains sustained at the end of the Bundesliga season. “Despite the care provided by the medical staff, the progression of his back pain will prevent him from being fit for the start of the competition“, said the French FA.
As for Enzo Millot, the former AS Monaco midfielder has pulled out of the squad for family reasons. In the absence of both Ekitike and Millot, France U-21 manager Gérard Baticle has decided to call up Monaco’s Soungoutou Magassa (21) and Rennes’ Djaoui Cissé (21). Before flying off to Slovakia for the start of the U-21 Euros, France will play a final friendly game against Uzbekistan on Wednesday.
