On June 12, Napoli officially announced the signing of Kevin De Bruyne, with the two sides agreeing to a two-year contract.
De Bruyne is out of City after the season, where he has been for the last 10 years. Under coach Pep Guardiola, the Belgian international became one of the best midfielders in the world. He helped Manchester win the Premier League title five times, the FA Cup twice and together they reached the Champions League winners' trophy.
Experts believe the Belgian could fit perfectly into the 4-3-3 formation that Napoli used in the second half of last season, which helped them win their fourth Italian title in history. Another option for using the former Manchester City midfielder could be Conte's favoured 3-5-2 formation, in which De Bruyne would play a similar role to that of Christian Eriksen during Conte's time at Inter.
De Bruyne has played 422 games for the Citizens, scoring 108 goals and assisting a further 177. He has also won a number of trophies with Manchester City - winning the Premier League six times, the League Cup five times, the FA Cup twice, the English Super Cup three times and is also a Champions League winner. He has also donned the jersey of Chelsea, Wolfsburg, Werder and Genk in the past.
