BOTH PARTIES AGREE TO ACTIVATE THE ANNUAL RENEWAL CONTEMPLATED IN THE CAPTAIN'S CONTRACT
The first-team captain and player with the most appearances in the club's history has extended his contract until June 30, 2026.
Jorge Resurrección, known as Koke, will continue to represent Atlético de Madrid next season after extending his contract with the club until June 30, 2026. Our captain's contract includes an annual renewal at the end of each season, which both parties have agreed to activate.
The Rojiblanco youth player made his first-team debut on September 19, 2009. Since then, he has made history with his lifelong club, becoming, game after game, the player with the most caps on the red and white jersey: 681.
Koke is also one of the most successful players in Atlético de Madrid's history. To date, he has won eight titles—two La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, two Europa League titles, two European Super Cups, and one Spanish Super Cup—which puts him behind only Adelardo, who has ten trophies as a Rojiblanco.
Miguel Ángel Gil, the club's CEO, accompanied our captain on the day it was confirmed that he will continue to write new chapters in the history of Atlético de Madrid.
Congratulations, Koke!
