Liverpool forward matches Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole after scoring against Crystal Palace

Mo Salah wins the Premier League Golden Boot winner with 29 goals.

Mo Salah is the first player in the competition’s history to win the PL Player of the Season, the PL Golden Boot and the PL Playmaker award in the same season.

He's also equalled the record the most goal involvements ever recorded in a Premier League campaign.

This means Salah, who was named the EA Sports Player of the Season on Saturday, has equalled the all-time record for most combined goals and assists by a player in a campaign, which was previously held by Andrew Cole and Alan Shearer.

What makes Salah's feat all the greater, though, is that he has achieved it in a 38-match season, whereas Cole and Shearer reached their 47 goal involvements in 42-match seasons. The Premier League was comprised of 22 teams up until the 1995/96 season, so each club had to play 42 matches. In 1995/96, it was cut to 20 teams and the 38-match season as it stands today.

Salah had already broken the record for a 38-match season with his 45th contribution, an assist for Luis Diaz against West Ham United on 13 April. His 46th was the goal he scored a fortnight later in the 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, a result that secured the Premier League title for Liverpool.
