Boca Juniors have officially announced the signing of Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes, marking his return to his boyhood club.
Paredes joined Boca Juniors’ youth setup at a young age and made his senior debut for the club on November 6, 2010, at just 16 years old. During his first stint, he made 31 official appearances and scored five goals for the Buenos Aires giants.
The Argentine midfielder then moved to Europe, where he played for Chievo, Roma, Empoli, Zenit St. Petersburg, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus. In the summer of 2023, he rejoined Roma for a second spell before now sealing his return to Boca Juniors.
According to earlier reports, Boca Juniors are set to pay Roma up to €3.5 million for the transfer.
