OFFICIAL: Real Sign 17-Year-Old wonderkid Mastantuono, contract until 2031

On June 13, Real Madrid officially announced the signing of 17-year-old River Plate prodigy Franco Mastrantonio, with the two sides agreeing to a contract running until 2031.

Real Madrid's official statement:

"Mastantuono will officially join our club starting August 14, 2025, with his contract valid until June 30, 2031, spanning six seasons.

Mastantuono developed through River Plate's youth academy from 2019 to 2024 and was promoted to the first team during the 2024-2025 season. In February 2024, he became River Plate's youngest-ever goalscorer in history, breaking a record, and helped the team win the Argentine Super Cup.

The 17-year-old sensation also holds the record for the youngest player to appear for the Argentine national team." (Statement concluded)

Mastantuono joined River Plate's first team in January 2024, making 61 appearances with 10 goals and 7 assists. On June 6 this year, he made his senior debut for Argentina, becoming the nation's youngest-ever player in official matches at the age of 17 years and 293 days. Mastantuono has been included in River Plate's squad for the Club World Cup and will turn 18 on August 14.
