Jose Mourinho believes that Chelsea still have plenty of room for improvement despite Eden Hazard's exit to Real Madrid this summer.
Mourinho believes that Hazard is basically irreplaceable, but he pointed to a host of key stars on the Chelsea bench as positives for Lampard's men.
Speaking while on punditry duty for Sky Sports, Mourinho said: “Eden Hazard is irreplaceable.
“To try to be more positive than we are in this moment, we look to the bench. Marcos Alonso is on the bench, N'Golo Kante is on the bench, Willian is not even on the bench. Chelsea still have the players to make this team better and more competitive.
“Eden Hazard is special. He was twice the Premier League player of the year and twice he won the competition – there is a relation between that level of performance.”
