Ousmane Dembele's 'indiscipline is worrying' after missing training

Ousmane Dembele is in hot water at Barcelona, and now the Spanish press has labelled the situation a 'mess' after he failed to show up to training on Thursday.

'Dembelio' was the headline of both Mundo Deportivo and Sport, which translates to 'Dembe-mess.'

It was apparently not the first time he was late, and Barcelona reportedly feel the problem is linked to immaturity.

'The Frenchman's indiscipline is worrying,' wrote Mundo Deportivo, before going on to say that Barcelona staff were trying to get in contact with Dembele for 90 minutes after the players were due to show up for training.

It was later revealed that the player was suffering from gastroenteritis, but staff are unhappy they were not informed.

Sport reported on its back page that Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde could turn to Brazilian Malcom for the time being if Dembele can not turn his behaviour around.

He arrived 25 minutes after the scheduled time for Barcelona's Champions League clash with Inter Milan last month, and was left on the bench for the entire match, without even being sent to warm up.

Barcelona paid £96million to sign the Frenchman, and he is quickly turning out to be a very expensive flop. His off the ball work-rate has been lacking, and the 21-year-old has been reportedly frustrating Luis Suarez by not passing to him in scoring situations.

There have been reports over the past few weeks that Barcelona are ready to part ways with Dembele, with Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool all waiting to pounce if his services become available.
