Over 1,400 Arsenal supporters have signed an online petition urging the club to abandon its pursuit of Chelsea winger Noni Madueke.
The petition, launched on Change.org under the hashtag #NOTOMADUEKE, argues that Arsenal deserve more ambitious signings as they near a breakthrough
“Arsenal fans deserve better … we are so close to success,” reads the petition, adding that rather than bolstering the existing squad, Arsenal risk repeating past mistakes by signing “mediocre” players like Madueke and Viktor Gyökeres. Supporters demand the club “show some ambition” and “repay the fans” for decades of loyalty .
Fan comments featured on the petition echo this sentiment. One user from New York remarked:
“20+ years of unwavering support and this is how we’re repaid? Mediocre signings with zero ambition … don’t ruin it with clueless transfers.”
Another wrote:
“This is a gross misuse of funds and continuing to hand over excess money to rivals needs to be investigated.”
The petition was launched on 9 July 2025, and by early today had already garnered around 1,491 verified signatures
