Fans have been left stunned by Mesut Ozil's incredibly body transformation and have claimed that the former Arsenal star 'looks so different' since retiring.
Ozil, 35, enjoyed a distinguished career for the likes of Werder Bremen, Real Madrid and Arsenal before hanging up his boots last year after stints with Fenerbahce and Istanbul Basaksehir.
The former attacking midfielder - who also won the 2014 World Cup with his country - was known for his technical style and skinny frame during his time in the game.
However, since retirement, Ozil has caught the eye due to his body transformation, with the midfielder bulking up dramatically.
In a picture that appeared on X, formerly Twitter, the German playmaker posed for a picture with a friend and fans could clearly see his bulked up physique.
The account that posted the picture of Ozil and his friend wrote the caption: 'Mesut Ozil looks so much different wtf'.
The former Arsenal playmaker has continued to show off his incredible body transformation since retiring and, earlier this month, showed off a new gym video.
Ozil was seen wearing Arsenal tracksuit bottoms in the video as he worked on his fitness as he was seen lifting two 50kg weights in a new video.
In March, his personal coach, Alper Aksac, has shared a new photo showcasing the staggering progress that Ozil has made.
Aksac captioned the photo: 'Nothing better. For the best one ever,' with a weightlifting emoji.
The week prior, Cristiano Ronaldo shared his support for his former Real Madrid team-mate, after Ozil had posted a clip of him using a set of battle ropes before pushing a weighted sled up and down the length of a gym.
The 35-year-old, who played at Los Blancos with Ronaldo between 2010 and 2013, captioned the video: 'Always stay ready, then you don't need to get ready.'
He also added a 'sand timer' and a '100' emoji to the caption, sparking some speculation among fans that he could be considering a return to football.
Ronaldo lauded his gruelling workout, with a winking emoji and writing: 'Bro not bad.'
The 35-year-old has frequently shared videos of his gym workouts as he kept fans updated with his fitness journey.
