Paris Saint-Germain have come to an agreement with Ander Herrera to join them in the summer.

According to French outlet RMC Sport, Athletic Bilbao expressed an interest in their former player on Friday morning but their attempt to sign him came too late in the process.

Herrera is free to leave United in the summer after failing to agree a new deal with them. His contract expires in June.

PSG and the 29-year-old have agreed terms for the contract, with only the length left to be decided.

They now have to agree whether they will offer Herrera a four or five year deal to move to the Parc des Princes.

It is not expected that there will be any issues and RMC claim that those close to Herrera are convinced he will be wearing a PSG shirt next season.

PSG are also moving to snap up Napoli's Allan ahead of an important window for manager Thomas Tuchel, who saw his team knocked out of the Champions League by United.

The Spanish star has made 20 appearances for United in the Premier League this season. Herrera joined United in the summer of 2014.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer handed him a boost on Friday when he said he could still be involved against Chelsea despite his contract situation and recent injury issues.

'Three games left of the season and Ander has been training, he's been enthusiastic. He'll probably be involved,' said Solskjaer.

'I think he's fit enough to be involved on Sunday. I can't guarantee, because there's still two days left, but he's trained the last two days.'
