PSG 'offered Neymar to Manchester City in swap deal with French giants wanting Bernardo Silva'

Manchester City reportedly turned down the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar - because the French champions wanted any deal to include Bernardo Silva.

City have already made a number of big signings this summer but that hasn't stopped them from continuing to be linked with another huge one over the past couple of weeks,

Neymar has had an up and down five years with PSG since his world record transfer and was even booed by his own fans following another disastrous Champions League exit last season.

Speculation over his future has been rife this summer after club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi refused to rule out offloading the 30-year-old.

And Le Parisien claim the Brazilian was offered to City as part of a swap deal, the English champions being one of a few clubs that could afford his £600,000-a-week wages.

However, City 'declined' to enter talks over any potential deal for Neymar - as PSG wanted Silva in return.

The Portuguese international has become one of the worst most highly rated players over the past few seasons and Pep Guardiola has no plans to let him leave.
