According to Fabrice Hawkins and Le Parisien, PSG believe that they can revive a deal to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt and will try everything to convince the Bundesliga club to sell the French international. From Frankfurt’s perspective, the deal has now collapsed as they failed to sign a replacement for Kolo Muani, according to L’Équipe.
PSG have agreed a fee worth €90m for the 24-year-old, according to RMC Sport and L’Équipe, but for Frankfurt to sell it was always dependent on the club being able to sign a replacement. Hugo Ekitiké was perceived by both clubs as a potential replacement for Eintracht, but he rejected three contract offers from the club. L’Équipe have reported that PSG chiefs are furious with Hugo Ekitiké following the apparent collapse of their move for Kolo Muani.
Frankfurt’s willingness has likely diminished following the closure of the transfer window in Germany but PSG are not giving up on signing the former Nantes forward, even without the German club signing a replacement. PSG hope to make Kolo Muani their second attacking reinforcement in as many days, following the arrival of Bradley Barcola from Lyon.
