After last week’s meeting between the Paris Saint-Germain ultras and the club management led to the suspension of the fan group’s activities until further notice, a new meeting took place on Monday night, according to L’Équipe.
The relationship between the Collectif Ultras Paris and the higher-ups at the league leaders has grown tense in the last few weeks, in the wake of a protest in front of the club’s headquarters, which culminated in a group of fans showing up to Neymar’s home to call for the Brazilian forward to leave the club.
Although this last move was criticised by the head of the CUP, Romain Mabille, the group were nevertheless punished by the club, with their ticket allocation for the away match against Troyes being cancelled.
According to RMC, via AFP, a new statement is expected this afternoon from the CUP in the wake of last night’s meeting. Last week, they had indicated that they were expecting “clear answers” from the club in the wake of a “very serious” situation. “We do not intend to compromise on our freedoms”.
