PSV 1-0 Nottingham Forest: Johan Bakayoko scores only goal of the game as Steve Cooper's side lose pre-season clash

Nottingham Forest were beaten 1-0 by PSV in their pre-season friendly in Eindhoven.

Johan Bakayoko scored the only goal of the game in the second half, and was the most threatening side on either side all evening.

Forest struggled to create and didn't seem to cause many problems for the hosts, who were allowed to move the ball comfortably throughout.

Anthony Elanga made an appearance off the bench for the Tricky Trees after arriving from Manchester United for £15 million last week, but he was unable to get into the game against a well-drilled PSV side.

Nigeria international Ola Aina made his debut for Forest after joining the club following the expiration of his Torino deal, and while the former Chelsea man failed to produce an eye catching performance, he did get some valuable minutes in.

The loss for Steve Cooper's side continued a mixed set of results as they prepare for the new season.

They begun with a 1-0 win over local rivals Notts County but were then beaten by Valencia.

Forest then picked up a 2-1 win against Levante but were beaten by relegated Leeds on Thursday before adding this recent loss in the Netherlands.
