Jorginho: Pathetic self-important Chelsea fans are the real clowns - not Boehly

There is often division and a difference of opinion in fan bases but what is going on at Chelsea really is something else.

I've never known a club turn on itself on the basis of owners mis-spending over £1billion on new players. Normally, it's the other way around!

The Chelsea Supporters' Trust have written a ridiculous letter telling everyone they were going to create a toxic atmosphere and a whole list of ridiculous demands. And Chelsea fans have been distributing stickers of owners Behdad Eghbali and Todd Boehly mocked up as clowns. It's disrespectful, unnecessary and doesn't help anyone.

It's a really poor reflection of Chelsea fans. How can these self-important, entitled miscreants run around handing out stickers belittling the owners who have spent over £1b of their own cash to try to achieve something? The Chelsea Supporters' Trust say they don't like the fact that they've become, in their words, 'a laughing stock'. I understand that but people laugh at clubs all the time and the enjoyment others are taking at Chelsea's travails is testament to what they achieved before. But by writing this letter, Chelsea fans have only added fuel to the fire.

Chelsea have been in a final, are in a semi-final and can qualify for Europe via the league. They've been poor at times but they're not that far off. The owners are clearly invested and while they've made mistakes, you show me someone who's never made a mistake and I'll show you someone that's never tried anything.

This portrayal of Boehly as a plaid-pant American, talking out of the back of his head about English football is unfair. He is being ridiculed and parodied by a vociferous, deluded section of his own fanbase. It makes no sense to me. Boehly's not stupid, he's a very bright and incredibly successful individual.

Patience is required. Really, there should be an element of gratitude towards people doing their best, making mistakes but who will get it right in the end.

That's not how football fans want to operate though, they want instantaneous gratification. I understand that, but how about being constructive?

They can't live in the past for ever. These divisive fans are only interested in criticism and a sense of perspective is needed. Since the takeover, Chelsea have signed players — such as Mykhailo Mudryk, Moises Caicedo and Marc Cucurella — who were all wanted by other big clubs. They may have overpaid, but those players simply haven't performed and Mauricio Pochettino has to step up and do a better job of integrating them.

This ramshackle group masquerading under the guise of a supporters' trust would rather turn their sights on an easy target like Boehly or, more to the point, they just want to bark at the moon.

They were invited on to talkSPORT to discuss the issue with Jim White and me but declined due to being 'busy'.

Yet they landed on Sky Sports within the hour where they were given a nice, easy ride.

I didn't need to take them to task as the Chelsea fans' advisory board did that for me, telling them to stop moaning and pack it in. Good advice.
