Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba unquestionably make Manchester United's midfield tick and their bond was evident against Brighton on Tuesday night.
United won 2-0 at Old Trafford to move back up to fourth in the Premier League, courtesy of second-half strikes from Cristiano Ronaldo and Fernandes.
Fernandes' stoppage-time effort was set up by Pogba, who took a quick free-kick to set the Portuguese playmaker through on goal.
And according to WhoScored, the United pair have managed to form the most productive assist-to-goalscorer combination in the top flight this season as a result.
Pogba has now provided an assist for four of Fernandes' goals, one more than Liverpool left back Andrew Robertson’s three assists for forward Diogo Jota.
The France international set up two of Fernandes' three goals in their 5-1 win over Leeds on the opening day of the season, before providing an assist in their 4-1 over Newcastle in September.
And on Wednesday the bromance was clear to see once more as Fernandes took to social media to share images of the pair celebrating together with the caption '#Brogba'.
Fernandes has now scored eight Premier League goals for United this season, with Tuesday's strike his first in six games in all competitions.
And the emotion of ending that run was clear as he tweeted on Tuesday night: 'Happiness and relief. Let’s go United'.
Interim manager Ralf Rangnick will be hoping Pogba and Fernandes can combine once more on Sunday when they travel to bitter rivals Leeds United.
