Monaco midfielder Pogba said in an interview that Ronaldo took the initiative to offer help during his most difficult time.

In the 32nd round of Ligue 1, Monaco's 2-1 victory over Metz, Pogba started in a professional game again after 1084 days. Previously, Pogba was suspended for a long time for taking banned drugs, and was plagued by injuries after joining Monaco as a free agent last summer.
Pogba recalled: "After the news came out, my phone kept ringing for the first two days... but suddenly, everything was gone. Those I once regarded as brothers disappeared, and friends also began to become 'very busy'."
However, one call was completely unexpected by Pogba, he said: "I was stunned, I never expected to see Ronaldo's name. He called me, not to talk about football, training or news headlines. He only asked me one sentence: 'How is your family? Are you okay?'
"A few days later, he called me again and said to me: 'If your family, your recovery or your life needs any help, call me, don't hesitate, pride should never be an obstacle to you receiving help.'
"At that moment, I was not facing the superstar Ronaldo, but a person who truly understood pain, pressure and loneliness. I have fought side by side with many champion players, but only in difficult times can you see who is a real person. Ronaldo, I love you."
