Monaco coach Adi Hütter said on Thursday that Paul Pogba, who has not played in a competitive match for two years, could take part in a training session in about two weeks.
Paul Pogba participated this Thursday morning in AS Monaco's warm-up, which hosts Le Havre on Saturday for the first matchday of Ligue 1. While the 32-year-old French international (91 caps, 11 goals) is not expected to return to competition before October, he is making progress, according to his coach Adi Hütter: "Paul is getting closer and closer to the team. I see him in boots now and you could see him this (Thursday) morning. But we have to be careful, protect him. But maybe in two weeks, he could take part in training, be part of it. We're looking forward to seeing him on the pitch."
The Austrian technician also gave good news regarding the other star recruit of the Principality club, Barcelona's Ansu Fati: "He has been training with us for a little over a week but he is not yet ready to be in the team." For his part, American attacker Folarin Balogun is uncertain for the resumption of Ligue 1 this Saturday against Le Havre, due to discomfort in a calf.
