Porto’s new signing Victor Froholdt nets the winner in their pre-season friendly against Atlético Madrid.
2025 Club Friendlies

Match Report
On 3 August, a club friendly match began in Estadio do Dragao. On the first half, Borja Sainz was a real headache on the left flank of Porto's attack, while Atlético de Madrid managed little or no build-up. The only thing that stood out was Julian Álvarez's shot that hit the post.
If Simeone's team couldn't put the pedal to the metal, there was no one to slow down FC Porto. Borja Sainz had the first chance in 13 minite, and Pepê responded in 18 minute. However, the Danish midfielder scored the winner in 45 minute, just before halftime, with a fantastic shot that Jan Oblak couldn't stop.
The second half saw a completely different Madrid lineup and a more consistent Porto side. Francesco Farioli gradually changed players, and with both factors, the game slowed down.
Rodrigo Mora came on to stir things up - just a few minutes after coming onto the pitch, his shot in 77 minute that gave the illusion of a goal was proof of that - but nothing changed other than the 1-0 victory secured by the Portuguese club.
