Latest Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham news as Premier League odds for next season are released after Man City won a third title in a row after the Gunners' loss to Nottingham Forest
Arsenal will be ready to go again after missing out on the Premier League title to Manchester City this season.
The Gunners conceded the title chase when they lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening, with City top by seven points after their 1-0 defeat of Chelsea a day later. Mikel Arteta's Arsenal held a commanding lead at the beginning of April after a 4-1 defeat of Leeds United put them eight points clear of City at the top of the table.
The Gunners went on a four-match winless run, though, that all-but sealed their fate, with the stretch culminating in a 4-1 defeat to City. Nevertheless, it has been a season of progress, though, with Arsenal back in the Champions League after a six-year absence from Europe's premier competition.
With City crowned champions, attention will turn to who could win the Premier League in 2023/24 and bookmakers Betfair have released odds for next season. Unsurprisingly, City are the clear favourites to make it four Premier League titles in a row at 8/15.
Newcastle are second favourites at 15/2 after their superb campaign while Arsenal and Liverpool are 9/1 and Manchester United 11/1, Chelsea are a huge 16/1 after a shocking season under owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
"Newcastle are the 15/2 second-favourites to win a first ever Premier League title next season after they secured Champions League football on Monday night," said Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom. "Unsurprisingly, treble-chasing Man City are the 8/15 odds-on favourites to retain their top flight crown.
"Arsenal are 9/1 to go one better under Arteta, while Erik ten Hag’s Man United are 11/1 to finish top next May."
