The boss of a Premier League club has reportedly been quizzed over the rape of a teenage girl.
As reported by the Sun, it is alleged that the boss of a top-flight side was questioned by police under caution over a historical allegation of rape.
It's said that the accused well-known figure in football met the complainant when she applied to work for an organisation he was with at the time - which is said to have no connection to the Premier League club he is currently involved with.
The Sun claim that a source told them that allegation goes back a few years after she applied for a job where he worked, and that she is now a mature woman.
The Premier League boss reportedly attended a police station with his solicitor on Monday, voluntarily, and that he was interviewed under caution but not arrested.
Further enquiries are said to be carried out before a decision is made whether any action should be taken.
It's stated that Met Police detectives first received a crime report about the claim in September 2021.
The man in question is said to deny the rape claim and is 'shocked' by the allegation.
