The Premier League currently don't allow VAR to overturn second yellow card offence, a rule that has been questioned following Takehiro Tomiyasu's red card during Arsenal's clash with Crystal Palace

Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy has highlighted one Premier League rule that may need to be changed after Takehiro Tomiyasu's red card during Arsenal 's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
The Japanese international picked up his first booking after referee David Coote adjudged him to have wasted time during a throw-in. The versatile fullback then was given a second yellow and therefore a red shortly after, when he pulled the shirt of Palace forward Jordan Ayew.
But Cundy has claimed that the foul on Ayew should not have resulted in a booking. Speaking about the sending off on talkSPORT, he said: "The Tomiyasu yellow card is an absolute disgrace - the second yellow.
"It's an absolute disgrace. The second one, Jordan Ayew goes down looking for it. He doesn't even touch him.
"I don't think that Arsenal can actually appeal that as it was a second yellow. If there is any common sense, that yellow card should be overturned - if there's any common sense in the game."
But VAR can't actually overturn second booking offences, with the Premier League's official website stating: "The VAR will not intervene for an incident where a second yellow card leads to a red card, unless the VAR believes the second yellow card should be upgraded to a red."
Arteta was asked about the idea of PGMOL changing their laws and allowing VAR to intervene and look at second yellow card offences, with the Spaniard giving a coy response. "I don't know if that's the solution," he replied.
"The decision is made. We're not going to change it. We adapted to it.
"Obviously it made the game much tougher and normally you're going to drop points when you play 30 minutes down to ten in this league. To survive the way we did is not something that usually happens. But we're so happy that we overcame that big hurdle."
