  /  Geralt

Welcome to All Football's Preview of the Weekend. As Europe's top leagues enter their pivotal stages, you should miss not even one game! Below are the best matches the world of football would bring to you.

Barcelona  vs  Real Madrid

Kick off: 16:15 (CET)

Date: Sun, 28-Oct-18

Probable Lineups

Barcelona facts:

Lionel Messi is out for the next five games for Barcelona after fracturing his arm against Sevilla in recent LaLiga action.

Rafinha was surprisingly selected to start ahead of Ousmane Dembele and Malcom in Barcelona's midweek win over Inter and vindicated his selection by scoring. He could retain his place in attack here.

Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet are the only available senior centre-backs at Barcelona's disposal and will continue, while Arthur is over a minor calf complaint.

Real Madrid facts:

Marcelo should be fit to start at left-back after suffering an injury scare against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League in midweek.

Nacho is expected to feature at right-back in the absence of Dani Carvajal, as the former provides a more solid defensive skill set than Alvaro Odrizola.

Marco Asensio is expected to be named on the bench, as Isco gets the chance to threaten from the left-hand side of the attack.

Vinícius Júnior is suspended for the away side after getting sent off in a recent Real Madrid Castilla match.

Focus:

Barcelona are unbeaten in their last five games, meaning that Ernesto Valverde's side have the momentum heading into this weekend's El Clasico.

The absence of Lionel Messi will level the playing fields in some respecets but Barcelona showed against Inter that they can cope without their star man for the time being.

Real Madrid got back to winning ways last time out against Viktoria Plzen, but recent defeats against the likes of CSKA Moscow, Deportivo Alaves and Levante have got Julen Lopetegui's squad reeling.

Prediction:

Barcelona 2-1 Real Madrid

Tottenham  vs  Man City

Kick off: 21:00 (CET)

Date: Mon, 29-Oct-18

Probable Lineups

Tottenham facts:

Jan Vertonghen is our until December with a hamstring issue, while Vincent Janssen is a long-term absentee for the home side.

Dele Alli and Danny Rose are closing in on a return to fitness, but it remains to be seen whether they'll feature here.

Mauricio Pochettino could rotate as Spurs gear up to play two games in the space of three days, however will likely save his fringe players for the Carabao Cup meeting with West Ham in midweek.

That being said, Serge Aurier and Erik Lamela could start in place of Kieran Trippier and Son Heung-Min from the side that drew 2-2 with PSV.

Man City facts:

Eliaquim Mangala, Claudio Bravo, Ilkay Gundogan and Danilo are all ruled out for Manchester City here.

Kyle Walker was a second half sub in the midweek 3-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk and should make the starting XI at right-back.

Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and Bernardo Silva could all return to the side for the visit to Tottenham, while Kevin De Bruyne is set to make his first Premier League start of the season following his return from injury.

Focus:

Tottenham's hopes of progressing to the next round of the Champions League hang in the balance after they were held to a 2-2 draw with PSV in midweek. In the Premier League, they have won seven of nine games and are enjoying their best ever start to a top-flight campaign.

Manchester City top the table having too won seven of nine league matches so far, but are one of three teams yet to lose. Confidence will be high for Pep Guardiola's side after their comfortable 3-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday night.

Like with Spurs, the fixtures are starting to pile up for City, but with an extra day's rest, they should capitalise with a repeat of last season's 3-1 win at Wembley on the cards.

Prediction:

Tottenham 1-3 Man City

Liverpool  vs  Cardiff

Kick off: 16:00 (CET)

Date: Sat, 27-Oct-18

Probable Lineups

Liverpool facts:

Jordan Henderson will miss out once again for Liverpool, while Naby Keita remains a doubt after missing Wednesday's Champions League action.

Fabinho excelled in their absence on his first big game and looks primed to cement a place in midfield on Saturday.

Xherdan Shaqiri was also hugely impressive in midweek and may be rewarded with another start.

Divock Origi hasn't featured for Liverpool this season but was on the bench in midweek, providing Jurgen Klopp with another option in attack.

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is the only long-term absentee for the home side.

Cardiff facts:

Joe Ralls serves the second of a three-match ban for Cardiff this weekend.

Neil Warnock may stick with the same XI that started last weekend's impressive 4-2 win over Fulham.

Aron Gunnarsson is finally back from injury after making his first appearance of the season against the Cottagers.

Illness ruled out Gary Madine last weekend but he should be available for the trip to Anfield.

Focus:

Jurgen Klopp will hope Liverpool have rediscovered their best form after beating FK Crvena Zvezda 4-0 on Wednesday night in the Champions League.

Liverpool are unbeaten in the league this season and have a good chance to take the outright lead in the Premier League with Manchester City playing away to Tottenham on Monday night.

Cardiff climbed out of the bottom three last weekend after picking up their first win of the season, a hugely impressive 4-2 victory over Fulham.

This is the first meeting between the two teams since March 2014 when Liverpool ran out 6-3 winners, featuring a Luis Suarez hat-trick. Liverpool have not conceded a home league goal this season and that is unlikely to change here.

Prediction:

Liverpool 4-0 Cardiff

Crystal Palace  vs  Arsenal

Kick off: 14:30

Date: Sun, 28-Oct-18

Probable Lineups

Crystal Palace facts:

Max Meyer and Alexander Sørloth both missed Crystal Palace's 2-0 defeat to Everton through illness but should be back in contention this weekend.

Connor Wickham made his first appearance of the season as a late substitute in the defeat to provide Roy Hodgson with an alternative up front.

Scott Dann stepped up his recovery from a long-term injury in a friendly during the international break but was not deemed fit enough against Everton. He is closing in on a first-team return.

Joel Ward was also absent from last weekend's defeat with a knock and he remains a doubt for the Eagles.

Arsenal facts:

Petr Cech was available to face Sporting on Thursday but did not travel with the team, suggesting he will start against Crystal Palace.

Sokratis returned from injury in midweek with a man of the match performance. He will compete with Rob Holding to start alongside Shkodran Mustafi.

With Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac are still injury doubts for Arsenal, meaning Stephan Lichtsteiner will more than likely start at left-back.

Laurent Koscielny has started first-team training but hasn't featured since May and isn't expected back for a number of weeks.

Alex Iwobi, Lucas Torreira, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette did not start against Sporting and are expected to return here. Iwobi's return could force Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the bench.

Focus:

Crystal Palace have lost three matches in a row and are only two points above the bottom three.

Arsenal have won 11 games in a row in all competitions after beating Sporting 1-0 away from home on Thursday.

Arsenal have won four of their last five matches at Selhurst Park and are favourites to win on Sunday.

Prediction:

Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal

Man Utd  vs  Everton

Kick off: 17:00 (CET)

Date: Sun, 28-Oct-18

Probable Lineups

Man Utd facts:

Jose Mourinho didn't make a single substitution in Manchester United's 1-0 defeat to Juventus on Tuesday night and still has the same injury concerns ahead of Sunday's visit of Everton.

Antonio Valencia returned to training at the start of the week and will be considered by Mourinho against Everton after missing out against Juventus.

Mourinho expressed concerns over Romelu Lukaku's form after losing to Juventus but the United boss has few other options at the moment.

Everton facts:

André Gomes made his Everton debut in last weekend's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace and was understandably rusty. It remains to be seen whether Marco Silva will start him here.

Yerry Mina was an unused substitute against Palace and might be considered here after another full week of training under his belt.

Seamus Coleman and Idrissa Gueye both recovered from injury to start against the Eagles and will continue in the starting XI on Sunday.

Ademola Lookman, Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin came off the bench and all played a direct hand in the two goals Everton scored. The latter pair will push for starts against United.

Focus:

Manchester United were utterly outclassed against Juventus in midweek and have only won one of their last seven matches.

Everton have won four of their opening nine league games and three of those victories have come in their last three outings in the competition.

Matches between Everton and United are usually hard-fought encounters. United have only won one of their last five against the Toffees.

Prediction:

Man Utd 2-2 Everton

Marseille  vs  PSG

Kick off: 21:00 (CET)

Date: Sun, 28-Oct-18

Probable Lineups

Marseille facts:

Florian Thauvin wasn't fit enough to feature on Thursday against Lazio and remains a doubt here.

In Thauvin's potential absence, Morgan Sanson could be asked to play as an attacking midfielder.

Luiz Gustavo and Lucas Ocampos missed last weekend's league action through suspension and should both start here.

Boubacar Kamara started on Thursday, meaning Duje Caleta-Car should partner Adil Rami in defence.

PSG facts:

Presnel Kimpembe remains unavailable after being sent off against Lyon.

Lass Diarra came on against Amiens last weekend and could start here as Thomas Tuchel looks to rotate his midfield.

Thiago Silva didn't feature in the midweek draw against Napoli, meaning Thilo Kehrer could start here.

Focus:

Marseille have looked sharper of late, albeit until they played Lazio on Thursday and lost 3-1.

Paris Saint-Germain also performed badly in midweek, only managing a draw at home to Napoli. Their Champions League hopes are hanging by a thread.

Both teams require big performances on Sunday night, but PSG should ultimately prove too strong.

Prediction:

Marseille 1-3 PSG

Mainz 05   vs  Bayern Munich

Kick off: 15:30 (CET)

Date: Sat, 27-Oct-18

Probable Lineups

Mainz facts:

Danny Latza could return to the starting XI in central midfield, with Ridle Baku suffering from an ankle injury.

Alexandru Maxim offers a more attack-minded option in central midfield.

Levin Öztunali challenges Jean-Paul Boëtius and Jonathan Burkardt for a spot in the starting XI, if manager Sandro Schwarz switches to a 4-3-3 system.

Bayern facts:

Jérôme Boateng could rotate back in at centre-back, with Mats Hummels possibly dropping to the bench.

Thomas Müller and Leon Goretzka could come in in central midfield, with Javi Martínez and James Rodríguez possibly getting a break as well.

Serge Gnabry could switch to the right flank, with Arjen Robben being rested and Franck Ribéry returning on the left.

Focus:

Mainz have only picked up two points from their last five matches and did not score a single goal in that time. They boast the league's worst attack and also struggled defensively for the first time this season in a 4-0 defeat at Gladbach last time out.

Bayern recovered from four weeks without a competitive win with a 3-1 win at Wolfsburg last weekend and a 2-0 victory at AEK Athens in the Champions League on Tuesday night. They sit four points behind Dortmund in the table and hope to shorten the gap before their meeting in two weeks.

Prediction:

Mainz 0-3 Bayern

Atletico Madrid  vs  Real Sociedad

Kick off: 20:45 (CET)

Date: Sat, 27-Oct-18

Probable Lineups

Atletico facts:

Juanfran is suspended for the hosts after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season against Villarreal.

Santiago Arias will be handed the chance to impress at right-back for Atleti.

Jose Gimenez is still struggling with a minor hamstring problem, so Lucas Hernandez should continue at centre-back.

Real Sociedad facts:

Theo Hernandez is back from a ban and should return at left-back for the away side.

Sandro is expected to get another chance out wide, with Willian Jose returning to the starting lineup up top.

Ruben Pardo should play a creative midfield role in the continued absence of Mikel Merino.

Focus:

Atletico Madrid will be looking for a quick reaction after suffering an uncharacteristically leaky 4-0 defeat against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League midweek.

Diego Simeone's side have been blowing hot and cold of late, keeping just one clean sheet in their last four competitive attempts.

Real Sociedad have won their last two away games in the league, but Asier Garitano's side are still battling their way through early season teething problems and a lengthy injury list.

Prediction:

Atletico 2-1 Real Sociedad

Lazio  vs  Inter

Kick off: 20:30 (CET)

Date: Mon, 29-Oct-18

Probable Lineups

Lazio facts:

Lucas Leiva and Milan Badelj are both doubts, which is a huge concern for Lazio as they carry out the same role. Whoever is in better shape will likely start.

Joaquín Correa is favourite over Luis Alberto to support the lone striker, with the latter struggling to reproduce last season's performances.

Inter facts:

Matias Vecino may be given some rest against Lazio, with Roberto Gagliardini ready to deputise.

Radja Nainggolan is still struggling with an ankle injury and will be replaced by Lautaro Martinez or Borja Valero.

Matteo Politano did well off the bench against Barcelona on Wednesday and could earn a start here.

focus:

Lazio have won six of their last seven league games and 8 of their last 10 in all competitions, bouncing back quickly from the derby loss by beating Fiorentina, Parma and Marseille.

Inter lost 2-0 away to Barcelona on Wednesday night but were always up against it at Camp Nou. Nevertheless, that result should not change what has been a very promising Champions League campaign thus far.

There is only one point separating the two sides in the league table and this prompts a flashback to the end of last season when Inter beat Lazio to Champions League qualification in dramatic fashion.

Prediction:

Lazio 1-1 Inter

AC Milan  vs  Sampdoria

Kick off: 18:00 (CET)

Date: Sun, 28-Oct-18

Probable Lineups

AC Milan facts:

At least four changes are expected from the side that started against Real Betis on Thursday.

Franck Kessié, Hakan Calhanoglu, Suso and Mateo Musacchio are all expected back in the starting XI here.

Sampdoria facts:

Riccardo Saponara has only just returned from injury and may have to settle for a place on the bench against former club AC Milan.

Focus:

AC Milan looked on track but have now lost successive matches, following up their derby defeat with a home loss to Real Betis on Thursday.

Sampdoria failed to score against Sassuolo last time out but are still unbeaten in four games. They will see Milan as a potential rival for Europa League qualification and will hope to get a positive result here.

Successive defeats has once again raised the question about Gennaro Gattuso's future at Milan. This, remarkably, will be the fifth of six straight games played at the Giuseppe Meazza, but that may not necessarily help Gattuso's cause.

Prediction:

AC Milan 1-1 Sampdoria

Dortmund  vs  Hertha Berlin

Kick off: 15:30 (CET)

Date: Sat, 27-Oct-18

Probable Lineups

Dortmund facts:

Abdou Diallo and Dan-Axel Zagadou should start at centre-back, with Manuel Akanji still suffering from a hip injury.

Mahmoud Dahoud could get a chance in midfield, after Thomas Delaney had to leave the Champions League match against Atlético with a foot injury on Wednesday night.

Jadon Sancho and Maximilian Philipp might rotate in the attacking positions, with Paco Alcácer doubtful to recover from a thigh injury in time.

Hertha Berlin facts:

Niklas Stark and Karim Rekik should both return from injury to start at centre-back.

Vladimir Darida is fully fit again and provides a solid alternative in central midfield, if Arne Maier does not recover from illness in time.

Davie Selke challenges Vedad Ibisevic for the spot up front.

Focus:

Dortmund boast a three-point lead on top of the table and are full of confidence after a 4-0 win over Atlético in Champions League in midweek. They have scored three or more goals in each of their last six competitive matches and in each of their six competitive home games this season, which they have all won.

Hertha Berlin made a good start to the season and have only lost one league game so far. The return of their centre-backs should give them more stability and balance again, but it remains to be seen if this will be enough against an in-form BVB side.

Prediction:

Dortmund 3-1 Hertha Berlin
