Raiola preparing to scupper Man Utd and Man City's Haaland transfer plans

Barcelona could have the upper hand when it comes to signing Erling Haaland due to the youngster’s agent, it has been claimed.

Mino Raiola is reportedly eager to engineer a move to the Nou Camp for the Norwegian striker.

Haaland only joined Borussia Dortmund from RB Salzburg last January, but it seems he could be on the move already.

Catalunya Radio, via BarcaCentre, claims Haaland will not stay at the Signal Iduna Park beyond the summer.

And Barca is said to be Raiola’s desired destination for the hotshot forward.

Raiola is reportedly eager to improve his relationship with Barcelona, and seems to be ready to take Haaland to the Nou Camp in order to do so.

Haaland is one of the hottest properties in world football at the moment, having scored an incredible 35 goals in his first 34 games at Dortmund.

The 20-year-old is wanted by both Manchester United and Manchester City, reports suggest, with both on the hunt for a new long-term striker.

City are on the verge of losing Sergio Aguero – possibly to Barcelona – and are eager to bring someone in to be their first-choice ahead of Gabriel Jesus.

And United are yet to have a marquee centre-forward since Romelu Lukaku left the club.

The Red Devils tried to sign Haaland before he made the move to Dortmund, but a poor relationship between the club and Raiola is said to have been a factor in them missing out.

They are still said to be keen on signing Haaland, with the striker having played under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde earlier in his career.

Barcelona are also facing the prospect of losing Lionel Messi this summer, as the six-time Ballon d’Or winner is still yet to sign an extension to his contract.

The Catalans blocked his exit last summer, but he is now free to talk to foreign clubs about a move, with City or Paris Saint-Germain his most likely suitors.

If he does depart, he will leave behind a large chunk of the wage bill at the Nou Camp, and it seems Haaland could be the man to pick up the mantle.
