Real Madrid agree terms with Courtois, while Lloris remains target (Mail)

Real Madrid are edging closer to bringing in a new goalkeeper after agreeing terms with Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois.

Madrid are eyeing a replacement for Costa Rica international Keylor Navas and are also looking at Tottenham shot-stopper Hugo Lloris.

However, the Bernabeu outfit's priority is Courtois and they have now finalised an agreement with the Belgian international's camp.

Madrid are aiming to complete the final piece of the puzzle with Chelsea but nothing has been agreed between the two clubs yet.

If a move for Courtois falls through this summer, Madrid will look to acquire the services of fellow Premier League star Lloris.

But Sportsmail understands that Tottenham won't be entertaining any offers for their No 1, who just won the World Cup with France in Russia.

Daniel Levy has already fought off Madrid as they approached manager Mauricio Pochettino and star striker Harry Kane.

Madrid, who have won the Champions League for three consecutive seasons, are interested in plenty of Tottenham players but the White Hart Lane outfit are desperate not to lose their World Cup-winning captain.

The La Liga giants, now without five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, are eager to bolster their squad as they look to maintain their foothold in Europe.
