Carlo Ancelotti has a host of injury worries ahead of his side’s clash against Espanyol in LaLiga.

Real Madrid take on Espanyol in LaLiga (Saturday 21, 3pm ET) in a return to domestic action after debuting in the new-look Champions League.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are slowly building in form and confidence, although certain doubts still remain regarding a few key players in attack, with Kylian Mbappé and Vini Jr yet to make their mark on the season as things stand. “We are not at our best and that is normal. Eduardo Camavinga, who sustained a knee issue ahead of the UEFA Super Cup final, is set to be given the green light ahead of the upcoming Madrid derby against Atlético Madrid, to be held on Sunday 29. However, a the time of writing, he is still training indoors, away from the rest of the group. “Camavinga is very close”, Ancelotti said, “he will work with the team next week and is working very well. It is very important for us. It allows us to have more resources and he will contribute a lot.”
