In the FA Cup semi-final, Chelsea defeated Leeds United 1-0, and there was a qualitative change in the Blues' mental outlook. Mcfarlane also ushered in a good start to his coaching tenure.
After the game, Reece James, who was sidelined due to injury, walked onto the field and pushed Mcfarlane towards the Chelsea fans, seemingly wanting him to enjoy the fans' applause and cheers.
