In the 8th round of the Premier League, Liverpool will face Manchester United, and according to Samuel Luckhurst, a reporter with Manchester United, Manchester United player Mazraoui is expected to return in this match.
Mazraoui has been out since 20 September with an undisclosed injury but has reported to Morocco's training camp in Salé and was with the squad for the World Cup qualifying wins against Congo and Bahrain. The 27-year-old underwent a medical assessment and returned to training but did not feature in either game.
Mazraoui has returned to United's Carrington training base this week for a medical assessment and squad training will resume when the players return from international duty. The former Bayern Munich right-back has been plagued by fitness problems since pre-season, when he missed four of United's five friendlies.
Mazraoui was out injured for more than a month and did not return until the 3-2 win over Burnley at the end of August. He then started back-to-back games against Manchester City and Chelsea, but was not named in the squad for the heavy defeat to Brentford or the win over Sunderland.
Mazraoui was a key player under United manager Amorim, starting in 38 of Amorim's 42 games in charge last season. Mazravi made a total of 57 appearances in a depleted 2024-25 season, but has made just three starts this season.
United will resume their league campaign with a visit to Liverpool on Sunday. Mazraoui played on the right wing in United's 2-2 draw away to Liverpool in January. Head coach Amorim is still likely to pick two from Amad Diallo, Dalot and Dogu to occupy the wing positions against Liverpool.
