Totti discussed Italy's failure to qualify for the World Cup and joked about his "return to Roma" at an event.

In Bari, Totti, Bruno Conti, and Vincent Candela attended the event "Champions in the Classroom: Sport, Values, and Future" held at the Aula Magna Aldo Rossi of the Lum "Giuseppe Degennaro" University in Bari. This was an opportunity to share experiences, career stories, values, and thoughts on sports.
The former Roma captain first stated: "I'm delighted, we're very happy to be here. This is a fantastic experience. Bari? For the past 25 years, I've played against Bari, both good and bad. Scoring a hat-trick at the San Nicola Stadium in front of 30,000 spectators before winning the championship, those were the most meaningful moments."
The event was held in collaboration with the Grand Slam Padel Show Vip, and Totti will also participate in its sixth stop in Bari. He said: "Padel has become our work, our passion, our fun. It's a very interesting sport that we can get back into."
Totti then spoke about Italy's third absence from the World Cup: "We need to get back to the World Cup as soon as possible; it's been 12 years since we played in one. Unfortunately, no one expected this. We had hoped Rino and the team could take us to this damned World Cup. Some kids are growing up and have never seen the Italian team play in a World Cup."
Finally, Totti was asked about a currently hot topic: "Me back to Roma? Yes, tomorrow, tomorrow I will definitely return to Roma..." This was a jocular answer, but he did not respond to whether he would return to the Roma club.
