Revealed: Guardiola and Klopp evenly matched in terms of trophies vs money spent

It may seem as if Man City have dominated their rivalry with Liverpool since Jurgen Klopp became manager but the picture becomes different when you look at net spend.

City have won five of the last six Premier League titles, edging Liverpool by just one point in two of those.

While that may appear one-sided in favour of Pep Guardiola, things are much more even when the money spent on each team is taken into account.

Sky Sports have analysed this and found that while Man City have won 15 major trophies to Liverpool's seven in that time, the Sky blues have spent almost double the amount.

The Reds have spent £346m while City have had an outlay of £630m in the same period.

Meanwhile, Chelsea and Man United have spent £1billion to win six and four respectively.

Arsenal have an outlay of £702m for just two trophies during that time.
