Andy Robertson says he and his Liverpool teammates are completely backing manager Jurgen Klopp's decision to send a youth side to Anfield for their FA Cup replay against Shrewsbury Town next week.
Under-23s boss Neil Critchley will take charge and no senior stars will take part in the clash, a decision which has caused controversy for many.
First team players like Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino will not be involved at all in the replay, with Klopp taking a stand against the interruption of his promised winter break.
Instead, every senior player will remain on their break as they prepare for the final part of the season.
And Robertson says the Reds players are convinced that is the right choice.
He told TalkSport: "The manager is our leader. He's the one that makes our decisions.
"We stand by every decision he makes whether it's team selections or days off.
"He's been very clear what he wants and we stand by him so that's the players' perspective.
"I think he's earned the right to make these decisions because he's been phenomenal for all of us, so long may that continue.
"He's made the best decision for the club and we all stand by that."
