According to MilanNews.it, Romano reports that Milan has reached an agreement with Mario Gila on a five-year contract, with an annual salary slightly over 5 million euros.

Romano discussed the deal between Milan and Lazio for Mario Gila on his channel, stating that only an agreement with Lazio remains. Milan hopes to finalize this deal as soon as possible.
He also revealed that Napoli had reached an agreement with the Spanish defender in June, but due to an excessive number of players in the squad and a persistent failure to reach terms with Lotito, De Laurentiis's club had to slow down progress. Later, teams like Atalanta also joined the competition, but Atalanta never truly came close to signing Gila because the player was waiting for other opportunities at the time.
Romano says Milan now wants to avoid other clubs intervening, so they hope to complete the deal by next week at the latest. Romano stated that Real Madrid will receive 50% of the transfer fee, which is why Lotito's asking price is not low. Lazio's stance is that they would prefer to keep Gila for another year and let him leave on a free transfer next year, utilizing his abilities for another season, rather than selling him to Napoli for 15 million euros as rumored a month ago.
Romano also said that Gila himself wants to leave and is pushing for the transfer, and he has already agreed terms with Milan and hopes to finalize the deal soon. In Romano's view, the common thread between the two operations for Gonçalo Ramos and Mario Gila is Ruben Amorim. The new Milan coach has contacted the Spanish defender, just as he frequently communicated with the former striker during the Paris Saint-Germain deal. Romano stated that Amorim is highly involved in Milan's transfer negotiations and enjoys doing so, and will continue to participate in the coming weeks.
