Romei: Chiesa long unhappy at Juventus; he'd thrive in England

Settignanese president Maurizio Romei says Juventus attacker Fede Chiesa would be happier in England.

Romei first spotted Chiesa as a young player.

He told TuttoJuve: "My impression is that he is not satisfied with the role he has had up to now: first Ronaldo who forced him to move towards the centre, then there was Kulusevski and he had to come back with his left foot.

"This year, inexplicably, he plays as a second striker and is always taken off around the 60th minute. I can't explain it, he's also fine physically and is back to being what he was before. He has a great will to get the things he wants. It's the failure of the coach, so he also devalues himself economically."

Romei added: "In my opinion, he likes being at Juventus, but the problem, as I was saying, is the position on the pitch. If Federico were to go to the Premier League, he would make a difference in every match. He would leave there every time for the space that would be granted to him, also because there is much less tactical thinking than here."
