In the latest Al Nassr' win against Al-Faisaly, Ronaldo scored what is claimed to be the 982nd goal of his career. However, the ownership of this goal has become disputed, with the Saudi League officially crediting it to Ronaldo while data platforms have ruled it an own goal.
Data platforms including Opta and Sofascore have recorded the goal as an own goal by Al-Faisaly defender Girotto (No. 5).
However, the Saudi League's official records still attribute the goal to Ronaldo and have congratulated him on reaching 982 career goals.
