Antonio Rudiger has joked he will 'smash' Kylian Mbappe if Real Madrid face PSG in the Champions League final.
The Real Madrid defender made the claim ahead of the semi-finals, with Real Madrid and PSG seeking to book places at Wembley.
Rudiger will be hoping to help Real Madrid past Bayern Munich, while Mbappe and PSG face another German opponent in Borussia Dortmund.
The Real Madrid defender was asked by Le Media Carre about the potential prospect of facing Mbappe at Wembley in the final on June 1.
'If we face him in the final we’ll beat him, Rudiger replied, before joking 'And if he dribbles past me I’ll smash him.'
The German international had earned praised for his performance against Mbappe in the national team's 2-0 win over France during the international break.
Rudiger criticised claims the Mbappe was 'in his pocket' as being 'disrespectful'.
The 31-year-old instead claimed Mbappe could become the best player in France's history, while offering his support to the forward's potential move to Real Madrid this summer.
'The best players in history have always come to Real Madrid,' he said.
'He’s one of the best players in the world, so it would be a good match.
When asked about reports of Mbappe's likely arrival, Rudiger replied 'Who says that he’s coming, it’s not official.'
Real Madrid nearly landed their man in 2022, with Mbappe performing a late U-turn before signing a new deal with the Ligue 1 outfit.
Mbappe told PSG in February that he will be departing the club when his contract expires this summer.
