Rummenigge also attacked by ultras with hatre banners in German league

The fans of Nürnberg clearly positioned themselves against the DFB and the Hoffenheim owner Dietmar Hopp at the home game of the 2nd division against Hannover 96 on Friday.

The supporters posted banners under the leadership of the Nuremberg Ultras to show the hostility against Hopp. The trigger for the displeasure was a collective penalty imposed by DFB against Dortmund fans, who were excluded from games in Sinsheim for two years after insults against Hopp.

A poster showed the DFB logo in the crosshairs - Hopp's portrait had been shown there several times in the past few weeks. Banners read "Dietmar Hopp, you are not alone - Karl-Heinz Rummenigge could be your brother".

The CEO of Bayern Munich, like both teams, had shown solidarity with the Hoffenheim patron and had criticized their supporters, who had provoked several interruptions in Sinsheim with their anti-hopping campaigns in Sinsheim.

Regardless, the Ultras have announced they would continue their protest against the associations.
