Ryan Gravenberch has beaten Bayern Munich to the announcement of his move to the German champions.
The Dutch midfielder confirmed his move to German publication Bild after landing in the Bavarian city on Saturday morning to complete his £21m move.
Speaking upon his arrival in Munich, Gravenberch said: 'Bayern is a big club. I think you have to win big titles here.
'And that's also what I expect. I'm happy to be here in Munich now.'
After weeks of criticism, Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic appears to have finally done something right after successfully negotiating down Ajax's asking price for Gravenberch.
The German publication's report suggested that the Dutch club had initially been after a fee of around £25m, before that was lowered to the £21m asking price that the two clubs finally agreed on.
The 20-year-old's arrival at Bayern Munich comes amid a tumultuous few weeks for the German champions.
Robert Lewandowski, their second-highest ever scorer, announced that he wishes to depart the club this summer with Barcelona said to be heavily chasing his services.
'I'm not a selfish person,' he said in an interview with Bild. 'I know what I had at Bayern and appreciate it very much. I also know that I've been doing my best not to disappoint the club and the fans for the past eight years. After this time I feel that it is time for a new stage.
'I respect FC Bayern and its rules. But changes, especially after such a time, are part of the life of the club and the player. I hope that doesn't come across as selfish. I have a contract, but I also tried to make it clear to the club how I feel.
'I said from the start that we should look for a solution that would be good for both sides. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world, a dream club for many great players.
'I think it's better for Bayern to invest the money they can get for me than to keep me until the end of my contract. I don't want to force anything, that's not the point. It's about finding the best solution.'
It has been reported that Lewandowski felt burned by the club's pursuit of young forward Erling Haaland, who ended up moving to Manchester City, and as a result sees his future away from the Allianz Arena.
The Poland international's relationship with manager Julian Nagelsmann is also reported to be strained, with Lewandowski said to have been frustrated at the coach's instructions of where to position himself for team-mates' crosses.
German outlet TZ claimed this led to a disagreement on the training ground last season, when after being handed instructions Lewandowski tried to remind his manager who had scored 41 goals by that point in the campaign.
Meanwhile, winger Serge Gnabry is also said to want to depart the club this summer with the German international reported to have a number of suitors across Europe.
His disagreement with the club appears to centre on the fact that they will not match the wages he believes he is worth.
Arsenal and Real Madrid are reported to be keen on taking the player away from Germany this summer.
Bayern Munich, meanwhile, continue to chase the services of Liverpool forward Sadio Mane as they look to further bolster their squad.
The Senegal international is known to want to depart Merseyside this summer, with Bayern Munich said to be the most likely destination for the player.
Liverpool labelled their most recent offer 'laughable' as a large part of it hinged on Bayern Munich winning the next three Champions Leagues' and Mane himself winning the next three editions of the Ballon d'Or.
