Bukayo Saka has been named Arsenal's player of the season for the 2020-21 campaign.

The 19-year-old, who recently scored his first England goal, enjoyed a stellar campaign at club level as he impressed in various positions.

As reported by Arsenal's official website, Saka received 51 per cent of the vote from the club's supporters.

Nicolas Pepe was second with 15 per cent, while Kieran Tierney was third with 14 per cent.

Although it was a frustrating campaign overall for Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta's side finishing 8th in the Premier League and missing out on European football, Saka continued to enhance his reputation with his excellent performances.

Mainly deployed on the right wing, he used his trickery to good effect and also delivered some dangerous crosses. In total, Saka scored seven goals in 46 appearances this season, while he provided ten assists.

It has been a dream week for Saka, who on Tuesday was named in England's Euro 2020 squad in addition to being nominated for the PFA young player of the year award.

On Wednesday he scored for England in a 1-0 victory against Austria, and received another young player of the year nomination, this time for the Premier League award.

Then on Friday it was confirmed that he had been crowned as Arsenal's player of the season.

Saka has demonstrated a consistent desire to improve and will hope to continue to impress for Arsenal next season, but his focus for now will be on looking to add to his five England caps.
