Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has returned to full training with Arsenal after three-months on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
The Gunners were dealt a brutal blow when the forward pulled up injured against Crystal Palace in December, an injury that would play a part in the club's title push one again falling away.
He has been one of a number of attacking injuries this season, with Mikel Arteta's calls for winter forward enforcements falling on deaf ears and meaning the likes of Mikel Merino have played out of position.
But Saka's absence was perhaps felt the most, with the England winger being Arsenal's talisman for much of the campaign and causing a dip in creativity from an attacking point of view.
Players are starting to return, though, with Gabriel Martinelli already fit and Saka now back in full training. Arsenal had hoped he would be training after the international break.
He is, though, now back on the grass with the first team, with Arsenal sharing a snap of the winger on social media on Thursday with the caption: 'Working hard.' A return timeline for when he will be back in action remains unclear.
Saka has contributed with nine goals and 13 assists this season across all competitions for the Gunners.
After undergoing surgery, he posted a picture of himself on Instagram following and vowed to come back stronger.
He wrote: 'The majority see obstacles, but few see the opportunities. Recovery has begun and I'm coming back stronger! Thank you all for your messages.'
Arteta had originally suggested his star man would be sidelined for two months. HIs return, though, comes at a good time as Arsenal hunt Champions League glory ahead of an upcoming quarter-final with holders Real Madrid.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are set to open contract talks with Bukayo Saka over a new deal.
The 23-year-old England international signed his current contract in 2022, but that expires in the summer of 2027.
The Gunners want to avoid any uncertainty regarding their star player's future and will make securing Saka to a longer contract a priority.
