'Sead Kolasinac set for Marseille transfer after undergoing medical with Ligue 1 club'

Arsenal outcasts Sead Kolasinac and Pablo Mari are set to leave the North London club in the coming days, according to reports.

Kolasinac, who is currently undergoing a medical at Marseille, has fallen out of favour under Mikel Arteta - making just two Premier League appearances this season.

Mari has also struggled for minutes under the Arsenal boss and will finish the 2021-2022 season on loan at Serie A side Udinese.

Kolasinac has slipped down the pecking order at Arsenal - becoming Arteta's third choice left-back behind Kieran Tierney and Nuno Tavares.

As a result, the 28-year-old has only made two Premier League appearances during the 2021-2022 season.

Therefore, he has agreed terms to join Ligue 1 side Marseille and is said to be undergoing a medical as we speak.

This is not the first time the Bosnia and Herzegovina international has thought about leaving the club.

Having joined in 2017, Kolasinac came close to signing for Turkish side Fenerbahce last summer.

Mari is also set to leave the club in the coming days after struggling to cement his place in the Arsenal first-team.

The Spaniard has not featured for the Gunners since September and is keen to get more minutes under his belt.

Having made just 14 appearances in two years at the Emirates, Mari believes a move to Serie A will be worthwhile.

His departure will see Arteta's squad shrink in numbers as he has already allowed Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Folarin Balogun to go on temporary moves.
