Tottenham forward Son Heung-min believes the club must respect Harry Kane's decision over his future as the talisman weighs up leaving this summer.
As reported by Mail Sport, Spurs owner Joe Lewis has told chairman Daniel Levy that Kane must be sold in the current window if he refuses to sign a new contract.
As it stands, there are no indications that the striker is open to pledging his future to his boyhood side and that has opened the door for a potential £100million move.
Indeed, Levy is set to come under pressure to allow Kane to quit before the deadline should he refuse to pen a deal understood to be worth up to £400,000 a week.
Bayern Munich remain firmly in the race for Kane with a third bid likely - and Son, with whom the ace has dovetailed so effectively, has addressed the speculation.
'Harry has been fantastic for me,' Son told reporters in Bangkok. 'He's always professional, always working hard. He's never showed any thoughts about himself.
'There's so much news going around it's also not easy for him, but he's captain at the moment and he's working with the team.
'He doesn't show any distraction. He loves being here. I love him as a player. I fully respect him.
'He's one of the best strikers in the world, has been for five, six, seven years in a row. The decision will be between the club and Harry and we have to respect it.
'I can't say anything about the final decision because I don't know anything. Probably Harry doesn't know. We just have to wait.'
Kane has entered the final 12 months of his contract and Bundesliga giants Bayern are set to ramp up their efforts to sign him, having made him a priority target.
Just last week, the club's honorary president Uli Hoeness claimed that personal terms had been agreed with Kane, who is said to be keen on the switch.
Two bids from Bayern have been rejected and with a third in the offing over the coming days, Kane's wife Kate is said to have looked at houses in Munich.
Meanwhile, a journalist from German publication BILD unveiled a Bayern shirt with 'Kane 9' on the back in front of Ange Postecoglou during a press conference.
'What does that look like?' laughed the journalist as he showed the new Spurs boss the Bayern jersey. 'It looks quite good, no?'
However, a furious Postecoglou raged: 'I don't know what you're talking about. Did you get a good laugh? Very good. You came a long way for that.'
The reporter has now been banned from future Spurs press conferences.
