According to German media laola1, Klopp may part ways with the Red Bull Group, and Glasner is a potential successor.

According to reports, Klopp took office on January 1, 2025 as the head of global football for the Red Bull Group. Klopp's role in the Red Bull Group was supposed to be similar to Rangnick's - the latter had led Red Bull's Salzburg and Leipzig to steadily improve with a clear tactical direction.

However, the sports performance has been slow to meet the standard, Leipzig is once again facing the risk of missing out on the Champions League, Leeds United and Paris FC are struggling to stay in their respective leagues, and the situation of other Red Bull teams is not optimistic. Only Salzburg Red Bull still has a realistic hope of winning the championship.

The performance of the clubs has failed to meet the high expectations of Red Bull's senior management. Even though Klopp has been the head of global football for a year, a unified tactical philosophy has not yet been formed within the group. According to sources, Klopp's name is not as attractive as expected in terms of player recruitment.

It is said that both Red Bull's senior management and Klopp himself are not satisfied with the current situation. Therefore, the possibility of the two sides parting ways in the near future cannot be ruled out.

Klopp expressed his willingness to return to coaching this summer, and Red Bull's senior management will most likely not set obstacles. Real Madrid or the German national team would be realistic potential next homes.

Klopp's departure will not catch Red Bull's senior management off guard, and Glasner, whose tenure as Crystal Palace coach will end this summer, is seen as the number one successor.

Glasner has a strong interest in the position of head of global football. If no top clubs offer him an opportunity in the coming months, and the position becomes vacant, the former Salzburg Red Bull assistant coach will be ready.
