Sport: Rodri progressing well in recovery and could be fit to face Man City

As reported by Mundo Deportivo on November 8, Rodri was initially downcast after learning the severity of his injury. He regretted having to miss this weekend’s match against Atlético Madrid and Spain’s games against the Czech Republic and England, but remained optimistic about his recovery.

He has been feeling very good over the past few hours, prompting both him and the club’s doctors to believe he could be fit in time for the European clash with Man City on December 8 at Spotify Camp Nou.

Rodri has already shared the idea with his teammates. He aims to return to full fitness as soon as possible so he can play in a match that means a great deal to him. Facing Man City holds special significance for Rodri: he enjoyed his greatest individual and team successes at the club and has always remained grateful to them.

His rehabilitation plan and training schedule are both geared toward a return in the first week of December. Facing the team that was his “home” for several seasons has also provided extra motivation. Rodri believes he’ll be back in time. We’ll wait and see.
