Tottenham took full advantage of top four rivals Newcastle's Carabao Cup commitments as they opened up a four-point lead over them in the race for the Champions League.
Spurs beat Chelsea 2-0 to solidify fourth place as Fulham and Liverpool both lost ground.
And down at the bottom, West Ham climbed out of the relegation zone with a 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest as Everton dropped back down into the bottom three.
