The German international revealed that the past few months have been “particularly difficult” both physically and personally, as he has worked to return to the pitch following surgery. Ter Stegen stressed that his sole priority has always been to recover as quickly as possible in order to help the team and continue competing.
In his message, he clarified that the decision to undergo surgery was made after consultation with medical professionals and with the full approval of the club, aiming to safeguard his health and long-term career.
